Kankan Movie, also known as Kankan Video, was a popular Chinese online video streaming platform that was run by Xunlei Limited, the leading cloud acceleration technology company. Kankan Movie, launched in 2011, became famous because it allowed users access to a vast and diverse range of movies, TV dramas, variety shows, and other videos.
The broad collection of licensed content was one of the distinguishing characteristics of Kankan movies. It included both local and international movies as well as TV series from various parts of the world. The diversification program took several years since both Hollywood films such as Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017) and domestic films such as Lost in Thailand (2012) are available on this site.
The extensive catalogue titles combined with an intuitive user interface made searching for specific titles easier through simple browsing over the extensive list or recommendations based upon historical views or preferences. By giving personalized recommendations based on individual interests and curated playlists aimed at ensuring users discover new thrilling content.
Broadly speaking, Kankan Movie was a major portal for Chinese surfers who wanted high-quality online entertainment options. With its library containing different types of original productions, including film genres like horror movies, dramas, and show series or typical movies, Kankan Movie attracted a considerable and dedicated base of audience members who wanted to view the latest Chinese movies, drama shows, and variety.
